Challenging your boundaries...
Mondays, 9pm - 11pm:
There's a load of nonsense floating around out there about Christianity. People (with good reason) often think its all about rules or smelly old buildings, its not! Christianity is spiritual, and judging by the numbers of magazines on destiny and horoscopes on the newsagent shelves and all the TV progs on hauntings and talking to the dead, the spiritual realm is one hot relevant issue!!
The programme is a showcase for (mostly!) up-to-date contemporary Christian Music, ranging from young bands through to singer/songwriter worship but always with an edge. I think you'll agree that there's a depth of feeling and experience that comes through the songs that can really resonate with our own lives.
Sometimes I have guests on sharing their own life experiences, often involving fairly dramatic conversions! Other times I just speak a bit on a theme.
Through it all the object of the show is to make you think, to challenge your preconceptions or misconceptions (if you have any) about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith, and to inspire you to pick up a modern Bible, open it at the Gospel of John (or anywhere else, but if you've never read it before that's a good place to start), and look into it for yourself.
The important thing is, don't let anyone else make your mind up for you (not even me!) - check it out yourself so you can know what its really all about, but remember... your head alone will never show you the way - you must listen with your heart!
